I approached Enza with plans to renovate a listed cottage last year. From the very start they were exceptionally responsive to my enquiry email and we were able to arrange an initial visit with Adam within days. This was my first home and I was unfamiliar with a number of the requirements needed to get listed building permission. Adam's insights were exceptionally helpful and we were able to draw up architectural plans for submission within short weeks. His advice went far beyond what I would have expected an architectural firm to provide and this was instrumental in helping me to gain the necessary permissions from the council on my first submission. I would highly rate the firm for their approachability, responsiveness and clarity. I will definitely get in touch with them again for future projects.

Chris and Adam were very professional and helpful throughout the process of designing our porch extension and bedroom bay window seat extension. We live local to their offices and they came and visited, measuring carefully, and were extremely knowledgeable. Adapting the plans along the way was also super easy with the design software they were using. We had no issues at all and they were able to help suggest some local building companies to approach, as we decided to self-manage (it was a relatively small project). We would have no hesitation in recommending their services.

I owned and managed a successful Building services Consultancy in Oxford for many years with around 30 staff and sold this business in 2005 at the age of 45. While running this business I worked along side numerous Architectural practices of varying size. Following early retirement and with over 25 years of experience in construction I decided to self build a new home in West Oxfordshire. I appointed Christopher Helsby over 16 years ago to design and deal with the planning permission for the demolition of a tired poorly designed home and the building of a new well designed home. Christopher’s dedication to doing everything he promised well and always with good manner and taste together with good value, impressed me. Ten years or more later I naturally approached Christopher to provide similar service for the demolition of an old, poorly designed home in a prime Cotswold village with the aim of building two new luxury homes one of which would be my new home. With the passing of time, by then Enza Architects had been formed and both Adam and Christopher have provided excellent service throughout including providing very good value. Christopher always impresses me with his understated manner, his calmness, attention to detail and care.

I worked with Enza on a small, prospective planning application which required careful thought and consideration. The project, a barn conversion for 3/4 bedrooms was well thought and having had previous rejections, the Enza Team came up with a project and idea that, together, with some back and forth was sympathetic to the locality and also gave the planners are very good view of the landscape post construction. The barn was approved! The Enza Team were very good at listening and also at being creative, which is vital in a building concept and design. I'd happily recommend them.
