We used Benchmark Lofts for our loft conversion over a year and a half ago and we are delighted with the results. Tom has a sharp eye for detail, was always helpful if we wanted to alter the design and came up with great ideas that added to the look of the finished build. The whole team were incredibly professional, polite, highly skilled and made sure that there was as a little disruption as possible to us as a family. They were extremely pleasant to have around - and I don't say that lightly as we have had previous building work carried out by builders who rushed the job and were inconsiderate when it came to noise and disruption. The finish is very high and quality of the job has been excellent. Whenever any issues arose they were always dealt with promptly and without fuss. We highly recommended Benchmark Lofts and I would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

Having used Tom for a loft extension several years ago (which went like clockwork) we had him back to complete our side return kitchen extension in Spring 2021. Unlike other companies that sub contract out to various tradesmen Tom uses a regular band of tradesmen that are mostly reliable and carry out work to a very high standard (esp the builder, plumber and electrician). We wouldn’t hesitate to use him again.

We used Tom and his team (led by Bobby) for our loft conversion on our Victorian terrace in South East London (Peckham Rye). Tom wasn't the cheapest quote we had but we are so glad we used him and are extremely happy with the finished product. The conversion involved adding as much space as we could, under planning permission, which was 2 bedrooms and a full bathroom. From start to finish Tom was friendly, available and always had very useful advice about how to plan and build our space, which was something entirely new to us, having never done any building work before (and not even being from the UK). His team of builders and other tradespeople were always professional and courteous, bearing with our questions and being considerate of our needs, having two small children in the house at the time of undertaking the project. The overall build has even passed the strict father-in-law test, and we use every room of the loft every day. I would wholeheartedly recommend Tom and his team - he is worth every penny. Our neighbours were even so impressed that they undertook the same project using Tom within 6 months of our completion!

Benchmark Lofts completed our loft conversion this summer and we are so happy with the finished rooms. The initial build was incredibly fast and the team worked hard to minimise the disruption to our family while construction was happening. Tom and Lina were always quick to respond to our queries and solve any issues. All the team were friendly and efficient. Tom was able to suggest lots of ways in which we could save money or improve the space. We’re really pleased that we used them.

I can't recommend highly enough Tom and the team at Benchmark. As an interior designer it was really important to find a team who would not only carry out the work to a high standard but would also be willing to be creative in their approach. Tom and the team at Benchmark were both of these things. Tom, as the overall lead contractor, was communicative, patient and professional throughout. He and the whole team understood from the outset the look and finish we were trying to achieve, and worked sensitively with high spec and specialist materials (e.g. terrazzo tiles) to make this work. The build was completed on time and to budget, and the clients were really happy with the final result, with the project being featured in a magazine. I wouldn't hesitate to work with Benchmark again and wholeheartedly recommend them.

Tom and team, thank you for your outstandingly brilliant work. You and your team all work very well together and to a very high standard. Every aspect of the build has been to a very high standard and you’ve been so considerate of us, our young family and our neighbours. The loft was completed on time and it’s been a privilege to have your stamp of excellence, on our home. Having been through previous home renovations, this was a far better and more impressive experience. We have found you and your team to be trustworthy too. Thank you so much. We're incredibly satisfied with Tom and his Benchmark loft team's work. From their understanding of our initial requirements, additional guidance on some of the more tailored options, quality of finish and professionality throughout. Plus the work finished slightly ahead of schedule!

We did a lot of work reviewing the various loft companies. We chose Benchmark as I thought Tom seemed genuine and thorough. We were not disappointed. Benchmark is not the biggest company and so it means the team you get are always the best team. The loft team we had were always courteous, punctual and hard working. We are really very happy with the final product both structurally and aesthetically. It was not a straight forward job we had two good bedrooms and a bathroom out of the space. Good attention to detail, good reproduction of Edwardian detailing, good structural work and internal finishes. The wardrobes and draws were very good too. We were very happy with the final outcome. Benchmark was not the cheapest or the most expensive but I am sure the overall work quality is up with the best. I would highly recommend them.
