Structured Environment

We put in a glass floor where there was previously a void and built a rooftop terrace where there previously was nothing on a flat roof. We needed a structural engineer to ensure the loading calculations were correctly done as the rooftop terrace had to support a very heavy load and the glass floor is in a heavy traffic area. Both projects were done without a big company but with our local builder. We went to Structured Environment as they were the original structural engineering firm who designed the basement design of the house. Structured Environment were excellent - always generous with their advice. They were responsive to enquiries from ourselves as well as the builder (it was the first time the builder had taken on a project this large and this complex). Their work was always efficiently done and they were tolerant of our lack of knowledge and inexperience. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

I have been working with Structured Environment on extensions change of use and conversions projects in the past few years. The service is very professional and as a bonus timetables are also being kept. There are always few viable options presented in the concept phase where an educated choice is being made. Structural drawing and detail are followed and they are always happy to answer any questions the project team may have. Happy to recommend them and will be looking forward to working with them again !

We approached Structured Environment to help us with the our self-build house in Forest Hill in 2014. They were helpful,proactive and their proposals were suitable to a tight and constricted site. The scheme got planning consent in 2015. We found them approachable, open and willing to engage with the brief. They were an asset to the design team and we have no hesitation in recommending them .

I contacted Structured Environment to help me put together the engineering calculations for planning application for both a side and a rear extension. They visited the place, did the architectural drawings, calculations and sent to the council. They also responded to any queries from the planning department and on couple of occasions helped the builder with material specs.
