We would thoroughly recommend Coulby Interiors as an exceptional company to work with. We wanted a kitchen/diner extension (including a new designed interior) and garage conversion, but due to our busy lives and lack of specialist knowledge knew it would realistically never happen unless we outsourced the whole project. Rebecca and team managed the whole project from start to finish, and were absolutely superb throughout. The outcome is amazing and proving transformational for our family life going forwards. We particularly appreciated the following aspects: - The initial scoping and initiation phase with Rebecca, which provided clarity on the whole process and final outputs. This was vital for an honest assessment of cost and scope to deliver the outcomes we sought, which then stayed true through the whole project. The eventual price and delivery was the same as that quoted and planned for at the start which is remarkable. - All planning and building controls processes were successfully taken care of by Rebecca and her architect, but in close consultation with us. - All Design, Build and Utilities planned and delivered by Rebecca’s fantastic in-house team of builders and experts. It should be noted not only were they highly skilled professionals, but as individuals they were all proactive, considerate, understanding and friendly - and a real pleasure to have working in and around the house for 6 months with our young family. - Consideration of how we as a family would continue to live through the build, which included creation of a temporary kitchen with a dishwasher and sink plumbed in, and timing of key project stages with our family requirements. - A very well balanced level of project management and exceptional communication, keeping us updated and enabling us to make informed decisions at each stage, yet minimising the workload required from us. - Exceptional expertise in internal design, and understanding of our style; which was evident from the start and demonstrated by the outstanding final product. In summary we now have our dream extension, completed through a seamless process and we would definitely recommend Rebecca and her team at Coulby Interiors to anyone.

A complete transformation for our kitchen! I called Rebecca after reading other reviews and I am so happy I did! We had been living with a ‘temporary’ kitchen for 19 years, and it was in a bad state - a place none of us wanted to spend any time in. The room was a good size, but a very dark, awkward space with three doors in and out, two walk in cupboard doors, a large window on one whole wall, and a fireplace on another. Rebecca took on the challenge and created a stunning design for us which has completely transformed the room into a light, bright, joyful place to be! It’s hard to believe it’s the same room, and we absolutely love it! Somehow from dark and complicated she managed to make it look elegant streamlined and simple. Rebecca gave us a lot of time, she listened closely, and was understanding, patient and kind in all her dealings with us. She is creative and knowledgeable, and also efficient and organised as you would hope. She took all the pressure off us, which made the whole process a smooth and easy experience. Budget wise she was always very clear about costs, and paid great attention to what was being spent, so we felt confident in that respect too. Her team were also absolutely lovely and a pleasure to have around. They were completely self sufficient, even bringing their own kettle! They were friendly and hard working, produced a very high standard of finish, and were meticulous in cleaning up and taking care of the rest of the house while moving materials in and out. There’s a real family feel to the whole company which is also a big plus to me. I couldn’t recommend Rebecca and the team highly enough, in fact our experience was so good that we asked them to do our attic bathroom, utility room, and downstairs cloakroom as well!

When we approached Rebecca about our kitchen project, we’d identified some key features we wanted to see in a new kitchen, dining, living space. We’d seen some concepts and design ideas that we really liked but had no idea how to bring them together into a coherent brief, let alone a finished design that we’d love living with! Rebecca let us talk, while she listened. She introduced design ideas to us to help her understand what we like and didn’t like. She took the concepts that we’d found, married them with what she learned from our discovery meetings and some of the ques she got from our personal possessions. The design that she came up with showed that she’d listened to us, understood us, but also helped us develop our own ideas. Very little changed from the initial rendering she presented to the final design that was executed. A major kitchen renovation feels like giving your house a heart transplant and is almost as stressful. It’s unavoidable mess and disruption for weeks. Rebecca and her team though always did their best to minimise this, while they got on with the job of executing our design. Nothing was too much trouble and they always managed to deliver the small incremental changes we came up with as the project came together. What we got at the end of all of this was a highly original, very ‘us’ design that looked almost exactly like the original renderings Rebecca presented. Our kitchen is unique to us. It doesn’t look like anything you’ll find in a kitchen catalogue or something that even a bespoke kitchen designer is likely to come up with. It reflects our character, what we like to do, how we entertain and how we want to live in the heart of our home. We love it.

I cannot recommend Rebecca more highly. From start to finish she balanced a genuine desire to bring to life our goals for the project, with great communication, pragmatic project management, and delivery of craftsmanship and excellence in the finish. The advantage of having one person act as designer, trade and materials procurement, and project manager totally de-stressed the project for my wife and I. The quality of the work by her team is outstanding and matches perfectly the original design. The trades people were also polite, respectful and flexible. I always felt Rebecca took our budget seriously and acted with a diligence as if she were spending her own money, openly sharing necessary variations throughout on a “no surprises” basis. We ended up on budget with a beautiful new kitchen diner. We are now thinking about how her team can help us with our next project.

Rebecca was an absolute delight to work with. She spent time getting to know myself and my husband and familiarized herself with our home prior to creating two brilliant bathroom designs for us to chose from. We live in a very old, listed, thatched property and needed a company that had experience of some of the particular challenges uneven floors, and walls and very old plumbing present. Rebecca was always on hand to talk to throughout the project and visited our 'site' regularly with updates. Her excellent communication was so reassuring for us and while she managed the whole installation she would always ensure we were happy throughout. She has a fantastic eye for detail and created a beautifully designed bathroom; the end result was all that we had hoped for. Throughout the project her team, were always considerate; they worked to very high standards and kept the disruption to our household to an absolute minimum. We would wholeheartedly recommend Coulby Interiors and would definitely use them again in the future.

We cannot rate Rebecca and her team highly enough for their work. Rebecca designed a modern extension, kitchen and dining space completely changing a small cramped kitchen and old conservatory into our dream space. Everything was exactly as you would want it to be for project management and build from day one. As complete newbies to any sort of renovation Rebecca made the whole process smooth, stress-free and most of all successful. She managed to take our vague and unformed notions of what we would like "blue, with an island" and turn it into a space that perfectly matches our needs and style. She listened to all our requests and helped work them into the final design. and more importantly let us know where things would not work and suggested far more practical alternatives. Her team were all great - highly competent, friendly, and knowledgeable, and as we were still living in house as they removed the kitchen and knocked down exterior walls, made sure every effort was taken for us to have a comfortable and livable space in the meantime.

We asked Rebecca for the impossible - not only to completely transform our en-suite, but we wanted more space AND more storage. We had a nondescript bathroom, a vanity unit that held next to nothing, and when the shower started leaking, it was the final straw. Enter Rebecca, her ideas and vision, and her ability to translate our initially inarticulate requirements and definite dislikes, into beautiful design options, maximising both form and function. What we wanted, and now have, is a haven; a calm, sophisticated, light and open space, with a spa like feeling, but which also works exceptionally hard, with masses of discreet storage keeping everything to hand but out of sight. It looks fabulous. Rebecca absolutely nailed it. Her team absolutely delivered it. We absolutely love it.

Nothing appears to faze this team We started with a dark awkward small kitchen & didn’t know quite where to start, enter Rebecca. Time was spent exploring what we wanted from the area including the impact of the surrounding rooms, even the garden views from the windows. The budget was set and throughout the whole process options to change up or down on the plan where offered. This was essential in our case as the house tried everything to disrupt the project, with ancient electrics, rotting floor joists and missing foundations. Rebecca’s team rose to all of this with professionalism, solutions, options and smiles even though it mean more dirt and unexpected work. The team were a pleasure to accommodate, they were clean, tidy and needed nothing from us. Communication was regular with decisions & choices ‘drip fed’ so we never felt overwhelmed and ideas could evolve as the project developed. We now have a kitchen I am very happy to show off and spend time in rather than the ‘cupboard’ I closed the door on. Engaging Rebecca and her team was the best decision we made. We now want to win the lottery so we can give her the keys to the whole house!

With Rebecca Coulby, one gets _exactly_ what construction project design and management _should_ be like (in an ideal world), but one would never imagine could prove to be a reality. We were delighted with the thoroughness and attention to detail right from the initial consultation and design through to the completion, and diligent and timely following up on the snagging issues inherent in any project. Anyone who has undertaken significant building work knows the trepidation involved: worries about financial risk, unknown problems with the property, availability of parts and labour. Also the problem of communicating what one wants to achieve. With Rebecca in charge of the project, all of these worries simply evaporate. It has been an absolute joy working with her. We looked forward to our meetings. She gets right to the heart of what the customer wants to achieve, and then leaves no stone unturned in making sure that the finished result most closely resembles exactly that. She handles all of the complexities of project management, alleviating this considerable burden; we always had, in Rebecca, a responsive, highly intelligent and sensitive single point of contact throughout the project. She was also able to fill in the gaps, giving us options that surprised and delighted us, when we weren’t sure exactly what we wanted, but were able only to outline the general approach and philosophy underlying the renovation. During the project, which was on a period property (where we expected there to be problems uncovered), as each issue materialised, she gave us practical options, sensible recommendations, and carefully costed solutions. It took all of the stress and anxiety out of the whole project. The final bill for the renovation work very closely matched the initial estimate she gave us, and all of the extras were reasonably costed, with options presented balancing cost and desired outcome. We are delighted with both the process followed, and also the final outcome. I can’t recommend Rebecca highly enough. She has skill and insight on what is required, encyclopaedic product knowledge, and has assembled a truly remarkable team of excellent construction workers.

We cannot rate this company highly enough. Everything was perfectly done from day one contact. We had no experience and needed professional help, Coulby interiors were my best find. Experts all the way and kept us up to date with everything, even with the trials and tribulations of Covid thrown in. Rebecca's team are all first rate, friendly, professional and very clean, the vacuum was constantly in use. Because of Covid we were unable to move out whilst the work was done. But they made sure We were able to live as comfortably as possible. Their work is excellent. We are so happy we decided to go with them and so very pleased with the results. Use them for your project, you will not be disappointed.

We started to coordinate professionals at the design stage of our project but were ultimately very pleased to have stood these down and used Coulby Interiors. We invited Rebecca to give an initial consultation, and straight away she called out what neither our architect nor kitchen designer had fronted up to – that fitting in a centre island would be too tight a fit in the space we were working to. Add in a storage solution that we hadn’t even thought of, and the value of using a top-level interior designer was already clear. When it came to the build, we temporarily moved out given the extensive works taking place. Our house just happened to reach the peak of stripping out, walls removed, doorways knocked through, etc, on the day when later that evening the Prime Minister announced the first Covid-19 lockdown. I will always remember the feeling of wandering around our house that evening! But of course, we need not have worried. Rebecca and her team made sure that the project moved forward while ensuring that they were working safely, dealing with shortages of materials while never compromising on quality, and managing the works given the temporary closure of the kitchen supplier due to the Covid-19 restrictions. It was therefore impressive that the project was only delayed by around two months, which made such a difference given that our second baby was due just two more months later! We were kept well informed of what was happening, which included reduced numbers of Rebecca’s team on site at any one time to maintain social distancing and reduce touch points. Although we mostly kept physically away due to the pandemic, we always found Rebecca and her team to be contactable, polite and very considerate, and they always discussed important decisions in sufficient detail to allow us to make an informed choice. We have now been back in for just over a year without major issue and we’re so much happier with both the look and practicality of our entire downstairs area, and its positive impact on the life of our growing family. It has absolutely transformed a property that was only 12 years old into a thoroughly quality and modern living, cooking and dining space. Thank you!

Rebecca and her team have been an absolute Godsend. I'd been struggling to coordinate contractors to complete works and communicate with each other. Then a pandemic hit, delaying everything and contractors disappearing. Discovered Coulby Interiors, contacted Rebecca and the response was immediate. Explained my situation and budget. Rebecca promptly assessed the house for a full refurbishment. It was my family home untouched for 40 years. Her team then commenced works on a fixed date and completed on time. Rebecca's vision completely changed the look, feel and flow of the house beyond my wildest dreams. She made me fall in love with the house again and made superb adaptations for my elderly mother. That's only the tip of the iceberg! Throughout the project there was clear and immediate communication on every aspect, targets made and met, and budgets tweaked to ensure the best quality, but not at astronomical prices. Every member of the team were polite, professional, patient, respectful, adhered strictly to the rules regarding Covid 19 and accommodated all of this whilst the house remained occupied by the family. My only disappointment is that I didn't discover Rebecca and her team before. Coulby Interiors are formidable! I can't recommend them highly enough!
