Jim Sharples Furniture

Jim has made a number of pieces of furniture for us over the years. This is the first time we have reviewed because we have not known where to do the reviews. The latest project is a beautiful tv, dvd and cd storage cabinet. Jim & Jo are a wonderful couple who really care about their work. Jim's craftmanship is second to none and we would thoroughly recommend him to make beautiful pieces of furniture.

I can't recommend Jim highly enough! I took on a complete refurb of a 1920s house 2 years ago. Jim made my kitchen, helping me with the design and layout, and all the time listening to what I needed for my own particular needs and my budget. He worked with the constraints of the space, always paying attention to detail, and the end result was beyond brilliant! Jim then made a fitted bookcase and a set of alcove cupboards and shelves with beautiful, carefully chosen oak - and everyone notices and comments on them. They are amazing! Jim is quite simply a masterful craftsman with a genuine love of transforming beautiful wood into stunning furniture. His skill, ingenuity and eye for detail means you can trust him with your project, your home, your money. You will be very pleased you did.

Jim Sharples fitted my kitchen and did all the carpentry needed around my cottage. It was built in the 1820s and I wanted to keep it as original as possible. Jim understands modern requirements and how to use space to its best advantage - and he also loves and understands old buildings so he knew what I meant and worked from my ideas. Jim did everything from boxing in the strange ancient pipe work in the bathroom, raising up the roll top bath onto a piece of lovely old wood, making a window seat from reclaimed floor boards, making and hanging shutters in the windows and restored the old doors.
