It is always a concern to use a craftsman who is new to us .This time we struck gold.No detail was too much trouble and the final result is exemplary.The room has been transformed.

Two armchairs for re-upholstering. Stuart did excellent work to revive two chairs. Advice on fabrics to use and where to buy. The job was completed on time. Really nice to work with Stuart - thank you!

Stuart reupholstered my 3pce suite which was a bit larger than average will long curved arms. Bit art deco. He was super patient with me as I went through all sorts of materials and decided on a colour scheme which was to include contrast piping. Then do I do it all the same or do the chairs the opposite colour way? I found Stuart’s knowledge and experience extremely helpful and reassuring. Having decided on the colours, I then couldn’t make my mind up on how many pipings to have on the arm. The 2 that were already there or to have just the one. Stuart kindly did an arm each way and sent me the pictures so I could decide. I couldn’t see a well known brand doing that. He was also more competitive that a well know brand even despite their 50% off offer. I would thoroughly recommend Stuart & Floral Chicken for any future jobs and have already mentioned him to some of my friends.

Stuart repaired and reupholstered my ancient and tattered art deco sofa for me. I am absolutely delighted with the the work he has done, it looks like new and I get lots of comments about how beautiful it is! He has done the work sympathetically with the style and age of the sofa and he was great with helping me choose the right fabric and trim. Stuart kept me updated on the progress of the renovation and any unexpected issues, as it is an almost 100 year old peice. I would highly recommend Stuart if you need any upholstery work.

Stuart responded promptly to our enquiry and gave us an estimate as soon as he had seen a photo of the dining room chairs we needed re-upholstering. Despite having a long waiting list, he ‘squeezed’ us in straight away and did a fantastic job. He glued the chairs where they needed it and brought them back to us the same day. Excellent, efficient service. We cannot recommend him too highly.

I had a love seat re-upholstered and i was pleased with the results Floral Chicken provided good choice of fabrics and personal service. kept in touch on lead times picked up and dropped off with ease would recommend but book early as he is very busy

I had an old ottoman reupholstered in velvet fabric with different coloured buttons on the top. It was a tired old thing when I dropped it off. It now looks absolutely amazing and my daughter is thrilled with it. Stuart did a fantastic job !!

I had sofa recovered by Stuart at Floral Chicken, He is very friendly and knows his trade. Stuart came over to measure up and gave my a quote. He brought samples with him after I gave him an idea of what I would like. Stuart uses the best quality materials. My sofa took a week and looks absolutely fantastic I am so pleased with it, Stuart sent my a picture and it really didn’t do it justice, Stuart replaced some of the stuffing in the arms and replaced the feet. I would highly recommend Floral chicken, I cannot speak highly enough of him. I have some more work for Stuart next year and would not use any one else, he is a credit to his trade.

Stuart from Floral Chicken recently reupholstered our three piece suite. He gave us lots of advice about suitable fabrics and a vast choice of colours! We are so pleased with the finished result, looks great and is so comfortable. We are pleased to have used a local tradesman and to up-cycle a very tired suite. Stuart did a fantastic job reupholstering 2 armchairs and a footstool for me. He was as enthusiastic as I was about the project and went out of his way to assist with choice of fabric. Once that was decided upon he carried out the work efficiently and expertly, matching the complex pattern brilliantly and we are thrilled with the result.

Stuart did an amazing job restoring an inherited chair from my Grandparents. His care and attention to detail was excellent taking into consideration the sentimental attachment to the piece. His workmanship was beautiful and the price was exact to the original quote. From start to finish everything was done in the time promised. The restored chair is now a favourite seat in our house.
