WDA , especially Jonathan and his team, played a key role in successfully obtaining planning permission for our care homes in Cerne Abbas and Winterborne Steepleton. They worked closely with us from the outset, demonstrating strong local knowledge and a practical, solution-focused approach. Their professionalism and persistence made the process far smoother than we expected, and the outcome speaks for itself. We are currently working with in our other project in Taunton.

We started on our journey with Western Design back in the winter of 2021. Matthew Witt, Hannah Winwood and James Goodland have worked with us throughout our project, to deliver our dream home. Our experience of Western Design has been superb, first listening to our needs and wishes in the design phase, then dealing with the intricacies of planning and building control and finally as project manager and our agent during the build phase, coordinating all matters with the main contractor until we finally took ownership on 15 November 2024. Despite our ambitions for the total site, we were not a 'grand design' disaster, quite the opposite. Over three years, the project ran smoothly and within 10 percent of budget and timescales. Yes, there were challenges and a few stressful moments along the way, all managed calmly, professionally and without drama by Western Design. Matthew and the team were always there when we needed them. The results speak for themselves, thank you.

Our experience with Western Design Architects (WDA) in one word is Fantastic thus for the second project(currently under process) choosing an architect was easy, go with WDA. If one has challenging ideas/projects then WDA and Matt will make it happen. We have approached many architects for our first project, which was to demolish the existing house and building 2 detached houses which were complex as what I wanted was not understood and the possibility to achieve is not seen with the number of square feet of built-up area achievable. Matt had understood very clearly. Matt came in to see the site (90 miles) to provide a quote. The quote was the longest and £ terms on the higher side (not highest) among the quotes I had received. I was assured that as long as I do not keep changing the design spec quotes. WDA had been thorough and professional all through the design phase, pre-planning application and representing at the planning committee. I can say every £ is worthwhile. For the first project, I thank Lucy too for going the extra mile to support Vaastu. Lucy researched to incorporate some aspects of design. Reason for recommending: 1. Design - Out of box thinking 2. I Hired WDA, Sept 2013 To Look at prospect of Land I had for Development and the appraisal for gaining Planning Permission for an Eco Style House, which they gave me their opinions and eventually we were Successful in getting Planning permission on a Beautifully Designed House by the team early 2014 (App No 2/2014/0064/PLNG, I have now Recently sold the Plot and the Build will start shortly, November 2016 “I wanted to thank you both, firstly it was good to meet nice people and further more for your damn good work.
