Comments (15)I'm a kitchen table girl too - a kitchen diner is perfect for me, the table has a bench at one side, Grandma's inherited jumble sale mismatched chairs with wipe-clean cupcake seats at the other and an auction find second hand balloon back at the head, room for 8 - table stretches to 12 when needed. Currently the table houses 50th birthday flowers, a get well soon card (sciatica), a box of wine delivered yesterday but not yet opened (temptation too great when on these tablets!), the ubiquitous condiments and this laptop. Eating will happen somewhere else tonight. My sister in law has two dishwashers in her island with the double sink (stretchy tap) and waste disposal. Comments (17)My partner & I bought a fishery with 2 lakes just over a year ago, the entire 10 acre site was very neglected, but we have renovated the lakes so that the anglers have a wonderful experience in beautiful surroundings. 12 years agoWhite kitchens are really popular in the coastal area of Florida where we have our business (Tampa). One of my favorites is this one because of the added glazing and glass doors. I get inspired every time we finish a kitchen for a client. Having lots of added organization is also a MUST in my dream kitchen. I especially love rollout trays and drawers for pots & pans.

- PRO12 years agoEfficient compact layouts with enough counter space and storage to meet my non-gourmet cooking skills. Must be neat, clean, classic, and filled with light. If I would build a dream home, this is one of the kitchen ideas I would consider. What I like is the compactness, subtle colors, and use of contrast on upper cabinet doors to tie in floor (a little dark for my tastes and 'crumbs'). I would do different pendants, and put upholstery with some color on the bar stools.

12 years agoI have been looking at photos of kitchens for the past 2 years so I will know what I want when I'm able to do something to my 1936 kitchen. This kitchen is the BEST! I love everything about it, although for my application, the dark wallpaper on the ceiling would not work. I love the cottage kitchen & I think this one is the best I have seen!!!

I know that sounds obvious, but someone commented that they would have put in modern white cabinets and marble countertops in our new remodel, but we live in the woods among tall fir trees, Oregon grape, native ferns, deer, birds and nature. You get the picture. White cabinets and countertops would be so out of place, just like a manicured lawn would be. We chose oak cabinets for its warm look, black handles, brownish quartz countertops and tile floors. It's woodsy, inviting, warm, and we love it! (we haven't put the backsplash in yet, but the picture shows the other elements)

PRO12 years agoOver the years I've changed my mind like the British weather, there's so many positives to be taken from all styles. So now I have decided too have them all for my new kitchen / extension next year mixing handle with handless, high gloss with painted veneer, in-frame with lay-on using 3/4 different colours, three worktops quartz marble and wood and two flooring options solid oak in the existing kitchen and tile in the step down extension. I'll keep you all posted with images during and after the project, I have a feeling this could be a new trend within the eclectic British market.

Love the bold colors and open airy feel to the whole house- this would be my dream kitchen (house) if I had the $$$ to redesign or build from scratch. There are more pictures of the actual the kitchen in the magazine...but not on here sadly.
