Try using painter's tape on the wall to tape out a "mock-up" of something that is 75% as wide as the space between sconces, but no higher than the highest part of your sofa back from the floor. The piece could be a credenza or even a bench, perhaps one that matches the material used in trio of columns there on the left. Above it you need a tall vertical piece of art that is no wider than 75% of the piece below it. Try the two deer in the center of your dining table and the other pieces on the coffee table.
