I prefer the first.

Be sure to understand if the fridge doors require clearance and if the fridge will stick out or need a gap. On each side.

Also don’t forget to plan extra deep worktop in order to keep the hob away from the splash back. Most stone suppliers recommend 100mm but you should also check the hob manufacturer recommendations.
