No, sorry but would say the room is quite traditional brick fireplace, white cupboards either side and deep red patterned carpet but unfortunately the floor is tan, sofa tan and round dining table tan, also coffe table - and so were the blinds til I changed them to wide white wooden blinds but still doesn't look quite right - can't see the dog cos she is tan as well. Will probably need to get rid of some of it though. Many thanks.

Make the blinds disappear by painting the window wall the same red. Otherwise they will look a bit 'bitty'. You can also pick up the red with assessories and introduce other colours also with artwork. I think lots of cream or natural linen. IKEA do a lovely striped sofa which has a thin red stripes which would give it a French country feel. Sorry I don't like the brown leather sofa and after reading how leather is mass produced I am now having problems with any leather sofas :(

I would personally go for the aubergine velvet (thrid from right) with either a central 10cm wide horizontal stripe in the bronze silk (second from left) or with a 15cm wide band of the bronze silk at the bottom. - or both - just a thought! It would lend colour and texture and you could repeat it on a couple of large cushions, then have a slightely smaller couple in augbergine and a slightly smaller still couple in the bronze silk. Hi there, What a striking room! It is really beautiful. I would suggest simple roller blinds so that they compliment as opposed to overpower the windows. In my opinion cream blinds would look best and balance the colour of the room, I have included a few swatches below Wide striped cream, Spring twig natural and Light seagrass.
