The perfect white but not stark white paint - UK.
Comments (4)Lou, from personal experience, the best paints for halls are those made for bathrooms and kitchens, as they are harder to scratch and wipe-able :)) Or that Diamond Tough from Dulux; you can also wash the walls painted in it - best even, buy the Trade Diamond. I can't tell you how many times I took a wet sponge to my hall walls to get rid of some stain... https://www.dulux.co.uk/shop/interior-paints/endurance-plus-matt I'm no paint specialist, but I tend to like Dulux light&space; they are all pale coloured off whites. Our kitchen is painted in Dulux Pacific Breeze but nobody can tell, they think is white until they look at where the wall meets the ceiling. Also, Timeless is a good not-snowy white. https://www.dulux.co.uk/shop/interior-paints/light-plus-space-matt Personally, I like the ceilings matt white, white satin for woodwork. The only things I'd paint the same colour as the walls are the radiators - to make them blend in. Hope this helps, good luck!...See MoreI am going to pick my new kitchen, I would like white /off white

Comments (4)Thanks for the comments. The floor is white porcelain with marble effect. The cabinets are high gloss acrylic. I have aluminium gola profiles with LEDs. Walls white, appliances black. The tap is a brushed stainless steel gap. So it’s a white with a bit of silver and black. There is a roof light and a garden with grass so there is colour outside. Also, it will be semi open plan where the living/dining will have the same floor but with warmer coloured furniture/wood tones. I agree, I’m tempted to embrace the white as this was our general idea but as the job progressed, I was thinking maybe it’s too much and I can do something different with the worktop....See Morewhite gloss kitchen chrome or white smeg small appliances?
Comments (7)Probably too late now as you will likely have bought your appliances, but I bought the same kettle and toaster a few years ago. I paid through the nose as I couldn´t get the colour I wanted where I live, so paid someone to bring them from the UK. Sadly that meant I couldn´t return them when they went wrong. Within weeks the kettle lid started to stick. We´ve been filling via the spout ever since. We had probably only used the toaster a doz times before 2 of the elements broke, meaning it only toasted on one side. Our local, usually very efficient repair shop said it wasn´t worth repairing. I ended up buying a cheapie which has worked perfectly and when we do a refurb next year the kettle will be going in the bin. I hope you have better luck....See More- 13 years agolast modified: 11 years ago
