They do amazing guided architectural tours of the Barbican - I went on one a few years ago, totally brilliant and made me love the place even more. Also, if you love the Barbican, too, check out 'I, Anna', a UK film that came out in 2012 with Charlotte Rampling, which shows off the flats really well via the beautifully done interior of one of them (though it's quite a dark film, be warned!). Yes, I think I'm a Barbican nerd.

Hi, I had a customer recently who was unfortunate to have hired some cowboy builders. After having some 3D visuals completed with me they went off on their own to implement the design.. only to have taps put on incorrectly, very bad grouting in bathrooms and kitchen, poorly laid flooring and found generally bad work all round when they returned to what they hope would be their new home. Luckily they are pretty relaxed people. They have returned to me, hired some local recommended tradesman and we are slowly putting right the bad work. It's disheartening and unfortunately happens all to often.. I am sorry to hear it happened to you too but you're not the only one.

We took out all the stone work beside the fire place , blocked the window up , then decided the Ceiling had to come down as it had cracks in it , we then boarded the fire place and plastered everything , the coving was a killer as it took all our savings too do 2 rooms but it was worth it , I painted the book case that was left here and ta da I'm happy with the almost finished results , just got carpet blinds and furniture to do but will wait till most of the messy work in the house is done

MATH the terracotta panels ( Ladrillos panelas) are very brittle so I doubt if topping a wall with them would be that good they are okay in suspended ceilings, shelves and similar but on a wall top you would definitely need to render them quite thickly. The dimensions you give work out to 60 cubic metres so I see why you want an alternative to blocks, casting concrete or using lava. I had a google for Spanish concrete panels along the lines of gravel boards, don't know if you speak any Spanish so it's more or less 'panelas de hormigon', I can't find anything useful on Spanish Google at the moment but next week I have to go to my local builders merchant so I'll ask him if he has any ideas.
