I was going to go for 600 x 600 mm floor tiles. You can probably just about tell from the computer generated image I wont have space for much of a splash back. I like the grey in the first photo - it's neither too dark or light. On the opposite side of the main kitchen run i'm also having a bit of a splash back because i'm having a 1200mm base and wall units fitted. The worktop will run down the side of these units. I'm set on having a granite worktop to be honest! My main concern is the room looking too white. That's why i was thinking of painting the ceiling the same color grey as the glass splash back. The appliances on show will be all be stainless steel so that will break up the white a bit. Maybe paint the plinth the same color as the ceiling and splash back as well? Or perhaps darker floor tiles, darker walls and white ceiling? I'm not great with matching colors! It's costing a fare wack so i really want to get it right! Thanks for all your help in advance.

Hi Rheanu, With a budget of 20-25k you should be able to get a lovely high quality kitchen all depending on size etc. German kitchens are known to be the best quality kitchens, with that in mind there are some really well made French and Italian too, but the Germans to tend to be the best. I have ticked 'grey' although I have kitchen units in three different colours in my fairly new kitchen-diner - lamp-room grey with an oak worktop housing a double Belfast sink, graphite grey with a pale granite worktop on the peninsular unit and alabaster (rich creamy colour) with the same oak worktop opposite the peninsular unit and for the doors of the walk-in larder and utility cupboard (no space for a utility room!) and the oven housing. The oak worktops have been treated with four coats of Osmo Polyx-oil, which I think is a fantastic product and has protected the worktops perfectly. The flooring is mock limestone laminate and I'm delighted with how the whole room looks.
