A bedroom with a view is wonderful for waking up in the mornings... on holiday there is nothing better than waking up with a view of the sea and to be able to have doors on to a balcony wide open. At home I just want my bedroom to have a calming and cosy atmosphere but also to be full of things that are precious to me...

Hi Sonia. Do you have existing furniture to work around or are you buying new? If you go for the neutrals I think you just need to add lots of different textures to add the warmth. If in budget I'd go for a wood floor as that will add warmth immediately but if not add at least one piece of furniture, antique or antique looking might look good. Some gold accents will also add warmth such as mirror, light fitting, picture frame etc. table lamps also give the cosy feel and would add faux stems or flowers and if you have the room a chair. If you want to use the blue perhaps consider using with pale stone'ish coloured walls but adding a blue chair, cushions and perhaps in a curtain pattern but again with some gold, wood etc. You could also add a feature wallpaper such as grasscloth or faux wood panelling etc

Hi, I think blue is a great choice - very calming in the bedroom. I'd stick to the more muted, almost grey-ish tones of blue - colours like mint, teal & baby blue may be a little too sickly against the beige. Some ideas below - don't be afraid to go dark as a rich navy would look beautiful with the beige too. Hope this helps!

I must admit everything looks greige/taupe on my screen :) i don't know if this is too bright for you? The cushions are nearly half price from Oka ATM but quite dear still as they're silk. I think a chair would look great in the bay. I can't quite see but do you have stunnning views? If so, I might go for a swivel chair, this was a Dunelm one. I think I'd go for washed linen curtains for a different texture, they can look really elegant (the colour is out in my photoshopped ones!). I agree with E D, I think the wardrobes would look good painted as my half painted effort shows. I think the darker paint in Rinq's photoshop draws the attention from the carpet if you're not keen on the colour but if you wanted a light wall colour I think I'd try slipper satin or skimming stone although it may not differ a lot from what you have (note, I'm not good at colour though!)
