I'd go for brown bedside table! I think a grey bedspread could look great, and dark chocolatey bedside features could really give it the edge. Maybe something like this? You can work with or without the blue, though I think it does a lovely job of softening up the scheme.

Hi. Do you have room for a little stool next to the bed to add maybe an anglepoise lamp? Copper would work well. If not you could do similar to the first pic so you have a reading light with perhaps room for a plant. You could also add a little plant trailing down of the shelves. I'd prop some bigger pillows up as they have in the pics and add art about 2/3 of the width of the bed. I think it would be good to get a really large mirror in here to make it feel bigger, what's on the wall opposite the plug sockets? If there's space on that wall I'd probably add art above the plug sockets

Have a look at Cromarty. It’s a Farrow & Ball colour but others will colour match. I colour matched with Johnstones as I prefer their paint. Cromarty is a very pale grey/silver green. I’ve just done one bedroom in it and I’m really pleased with the colour. Clean, fresh, bright and modern.

It might be time to part ways with the strip of wallpaper around the room. If that is able to be removed, along with the pelmut, you might find yourself better able to visualise any changes. Am thinking a little bit of a search for ideas and saving to an idea book might help identify what sort of scheme, or elements, you lean towards. That will help you work towards an overall look that will co-ordinate the style of furniture and colors. Unfortunately I find myself reacting to a furniture needs and struggling to keep to an overall vision so things end up looking hap hazzard, so give yourself time to work up your ideas!
