Hi again. Your room is modern, contemporary and elegant and I'd definitely look to soften the look with a pendant light. I can estimate the size of your room and I agree with you, keep it simple and stylish. Quality, is your key here. I'd be tempted to look at glass, something that's reflective or that's clean (non-fussy looking) as you have a lot that's 'talking' in your room. Some ideas would be... https://www.desreshome.co.uk/lighting/pendant-lighting/industrial-style-white-dome-pendant-light https://www.desreshome.co.uk/lighting/pendant-lighting/antique-bronze-wire-beehive-pendant-light maybe white or grey too https://www.desreshome.co.uk/lighting/pendant-lighting/large-glass-dome-pendant-light this large glass dome (see the smaller size for a better picture) https://www.desreshome.co.uk/lighting/pendant-lighting/copper-ball-pendant-light https://www.desreshome.co.uk/lighting/pendant-lighting/glass-cylinder-pendant-light - we have a larger one than this but not on the website - see the three glass cylinder pendant light on the website https://www.desreshome.co.uk/lighting/pendant-lighting/white-gloss-dome-pendant-light https://www.desreshome.co.uk/lighting/pendant-lighting/contemporary-bubble-saucer-pendant-light The size of your light will depend on your room and all lights can have the cable drops made shorter. Hope this helps a little :)

Please see our blogs on lighting, we hope they inspire and help you. https://www.lighterest.com/ buying guide Kind regards

Dulux light and space paint are coloured already with special light reflecting articles. The paints are all light colours.

Having just stayed in a house with a super busy looking granite worktop you realise you cant actually see when it is properly clean after cooking. Imo go for the worktop with a more subtle vein, which will look really smart with the dark cabinets. ( Love the floor tiles! )
