Hello Emmeline, I have black and a dark charcoal in the kitchen .. In the living room it's black and then a kind of greyish mauve which I make myself.. Most of the woodwork is painted with a colour I made myself.. My front door is charcoal by fired earth.. It's lovely with brass hardware.. :))

We have slimline aluminium frames throughout our newly moved in house and I have admired their clean, modern look from the moment we had our first viewing. The rooms are flooded with light and the frames give a sharp aesthetic which lends itself to our mid-century look. Have lived with Upvc and wooden frames previously but the aluminum frames have gone to the top of my list.

Sonia, I have used Zinsser AllCoat Exterior in the water based variety in the past. I found it very easy to use and gave a very nice finish. It comes in a few standard colours, but can be tinted to any colour. I think Bedec do a product called MSP or multi surface paint, which does the same job. Think it comes in more pre mixed colours than AllCoat.
