How long is a piece of......? You get the idea. what feel do you want - relaxing, vivid, energising? What room are the curtains in? Can you provide a full-length picture of them, maybe with some of the unchangeable elements (e.g. Sofas, rugs) pictured too? I presume that you haven't got a bare room with turquoise curtains?! And I also presume that these are new curtains - or are they "make do till whenever...."? phew. Lots of questions but the answers will help narrow the advice down to stuff you want to hear. if you put a gun to my head on paint colour right now, I would say Ammonite by Farrow & Ball....but it might look awful if e.g. You have brown leather furniture. look forward to your replies! denise

I think contrasting with a plain fabric would be a good idea with perhaps a plain contrast colour edge on the curtain. If you like blues you might like our Inky Sky printswww.zoeglencross.com with which you can blend patterns eg a stripe and bird print or stripe and herringbone print for a good balance. Your fabric choice is lovely though so perhaps you might like our linens for another project another time. All the best. Z

Hello, I can say that curtains do work in your interior and also I understand where your doubts are coming from. Your curtains have a quiet large pattern! For this reason curtains stand out as a main room feature and the rest room decor looks less meaningful next to it. Leave your curtains, they are great! Better consider next >> There are three white walls with white sofa in the middle are too well blended together and totally lost. You need to add accent. I would suggest to paint central wall in light grey or medium grey (in fact, any grey tone!) and it will fix a whole room at once! Another thing, when you go monochrome design route, consider add textures. Add cushions from different fabrics: woolly, furry, cotton, velvet etc. Make it more interesting! When you are in the room, your eyes should stop on something, catch something interesting. At the moment, your curtains is this "something interesting" . But it can be easily fixed! :) Kind regards, Alena

I personally would go with your idea of the gold & cream curtains as these will be timeless and then inject some colour into the space with the rug and cushions. Perhaps consider selecting either the blue or the coral rather than both for the rug & cushions as both are strong colours. Royal blues & corals are equally rich colours that work well with golds. You can always add one or two gold satin cushions which will tie in with the golds from the curtains & bring the whole collection together within the space. Hope this helps!
