The clock is offset. I would feel infinitely better if it was in the middle of the wall!

Each element is fab, love the steel kitchen units, the open brickwork walls and the stars. However collectively the eye dances around all over the place. The steel against the open brickwork is great. The flooring bothers me as it is shouting for attention against strong core elements. Less is more and decluttering would be an advantage.

The orange painting stood out clearly. I saw it even before the green wall that took a much larger space and thinking of the colour wheel orange comes before green .Not surprising !!!!

Thanks to all for the laugh out loud - literally - enjoyment in this latest banter. I do love this forum so much! If anyone thinks they can't wear a particular colour take a look at Zandra Rhodes!!!

How could you not see the red star first? It's positioned in the middle of the picture, it's a striking colour and everything else is a bland mess. It's obviously a very nice kitchen but the first thing I would do if I moved in here is remove some of the clutter especially the red star so the lovely cabinets could take centre stage

One eye 'clocked' the clock , the other the soft grey sink unit ! I really like this room .

The baskets caught my eye 'cos I like baskets - but the overall impression is of a disjointed collection of disconnected 'things'. The low fireplace opening and the storage opening adjacent to it is not a good look. It has a slightly unpleasing feel.

Hello Emmeline,

I too noticed the J! as my surname begins with J! From left to include the chimney breast works really well.. I'd tweak the shelves.. think the clock and J placement is just right! : ))

The cold fireplace. It's awful. Place some logs or coals in it . The colour at the back of the hearth is even colder looking

Nobody has voted for or mentioned the TV, which is great. Maybe that's what this poll is about..
The (un)necessary evil of including a TV into your interior, without it dominating the scene

Just goes to show, we all see different things in different ways, would love to see the results of the survey by gender and age as am sure it is all related. Depends on what you are looking for at that moment in life I guess.

Fun post and survey, great to see such different answers, shows how complex design is and there are few absolutes.
