I do laundry on the Friday, so the kids can use the Saturday to put their own clothes away.

Any day, any time - I do laundry most days. I wash towels separately (no softener as it makes them less absorbent); the duvet cover, bottom sheet and pillowcases makes two loads; clothes might go in with the duvet cover/sheets but mostly they don't so that's at least another load. And then there's the unexpected nature of life which often means the clothes I want to wear have to be washed and dried at breakneck speed. I couldn't bear it if it were a routine day of the week; laundry happens as a sideline and in the background. As for the ironing ... I loathe it and do it in big batches when I need something from the heap.

I live on my own but still seem to have an awful lot of washing ! I'm in Scotland so the weather means a lot of drying indoors happens ! I don't like using the tumble drier , I only use if for quickly finishing things off. So it's not really the washing that controls the timetable but the drying ! I usually wash in the early evening so things hopefully dry overnight .

General washing Mondays, uniforms and work clothes Friday night so they have the weekend to hang out and dry for Monday morning.

There is no specific day for laundry in this house because as soon as you put something in the laundry basket, it breeds and the pile just grows and grows no matter how often the laundry is done!

Whenever there is a load. If it can't go outside it is left on a clothes horse all day, or overnight, then finished off in tumble dryer. If folded when still warm ironing is seldom needed. Hate ironing!!

Definitely agree with marialk1 about the breeding washing pile! Generally most days my washing machine is on.

Unfortunately I tend to do washing everyday but especially after the weekend.

I just had to pick a day - 1 out of 7 - so it could have been any day, but plumped for Friday. This way I remember before the weekend.

When I worked full time it tended to be Saturday mornings, but now I am at home I do it when I have a load full. Also I like to, when possible, dry my washing outside and so this also has an impact on when I do the washing.

Every day! With 3 kids in the house, the machine is always on!

I don't. My cleaner does it on a Friday!
