Kitchens are a big expense - especially the chairs so I would match them to the units - the set you showed matches the colours of the chairs with the units really well, BUT, 1. The pine top doesn't work and 2. You need to add a bit of pzaz to this space. You can paint or cover the pine top with whatever colours / textures you choose as accents then follow these colours through into the pictures and the odd accessory (but don't go mad and keep most of the kitchen utensils and tools in the same colour as the background so they 'disappear' - only use subtle accent colours on gorgeous items so they stand out). This way, if you get bored with your scheme you can just change the accessories and the table top colour rather than the whole lot. Feel free to email me for more help. Surely you get stuff - food and debris caught in the small gaps and joins of the parquet - not very hygienic, I'd have thought.

Hi Mel, It depends on the size of the room and how many people you want to seat. In general a round or square table seating more than 4 will take up more space in comparison to a standard rectangular table. A good way around this is looking at extendable options (round turning into an oval and square into rectangle) if you only need 4 seats but would like the option of additional as and when needed. Round tables also soften the room slightly + if you have a single leg in the middle, will offer a more flexible seating arrangement. If you're stuck, feel free to send photos/plans so we can advise more or have a look online at tables to see if there are any options you like (this may naturally eliminate one of the two) D

Wow, thank you so much for this detailed respose. You understood exactly my dilemma. I am going to include a picture of the way the plan is currently drawn up in case that helps and could provide further input. I live in Chile, hence why the measurements are in meters and the words are in spanish. Comedor is dining table.
