Thank you to both of you. The colour palatte is really useful. Ive been looking at different materials, mostly natural stone or porcelain cladding. Im also considering a rendered wall. I took a drive round the neighbourhood today to see what I liked the look of.

I think you are right on the oak stairs. I plan to have a carpet runner as well. What's your advice on the balustrade and handrail pls? Iron / Wood / Combination? If wood (or part wood), then do you recommend painting some or all of it to pick up on the main stone colour (e.g. leaving the handrail and maybe tread in oak, but risers in white/cream)?
