hi, i was thinking of a grey but wasn't sure as I thought accent colours needed to be bright? i suppose the plummy pink of the curtains is fairly bright though. it's a big corner sofa that can take 12 cushions, so i thought 4 in curtain fabric, 4 in accent, then try to get a fabric that has the plum plus accent for the other 4. also have a big footstool to be covered in either (will be near rug so curtain colour may be too much). i will wait until curtains are up and in the meantime will explore olive green or grey fabrics. thanks for your advice, this is harder than i thought!

Hi. Great rooms. What size are the rooms as I'd be wary of hanging anything too high that accentuates the height as you'll risk the rooms looking a bit cupboard like? I think at minimum the top quarter of the wall should be clear. I agree with hanging pendants low, the one over the bed Looks a good height but could perhaps be bolder so it draws your eye? The one over the sofa could Go a tad lower and I'd move the copper one to hang over the console. Also agree with darker/warmer paint and it needn't include a picture rail. I like the art shown in the last pic, if you hang art in horizontal lines perhaps in a group of 3 it should make the room feel wider. Horizontal lines of anything are good such as long furniture, rug etc. I think you need to play around with height a little other than just art, perhaps an arc lamp over the sofa and a tall plant. The blinds work well as they're not accentuating the height. Are the doors standard height or tall? If standard you could look at making them appear taller. It's quite hard to find ways of making rooms look lower as most people have the opposite problem, however ways to make them taller are easy to find online so would read them and in most instances do the reverse!

Hi Ruth, I think green and pink look fab together. Just look at nature! A mossy green velvet sofa with soft pink walls will, I feel, look lovely. There are many hues of pink, and for walls I like a pale peachy pink as it’s lovely and warm. For flooring how about wood with a nice cosy rug? With woodwork you could carry the wall colour through if you wish, or stick with white, it’s just personal preference. Here’s a couple of ideas, the 2nd pic walls are F&B Dead Salmon. Not sure what the exact shade in the first pic is.
