Flush mounted ceiling lights (there are many styles) with table lamps/floor lamps in corners of the room to add cosiness.

I have a long living room dining room with two of these lights, one at each side. Any ideas for a pair of wall lights that would complement these? I plan to have one at each side of the room (either side of a chimney breast which has the TV mounted to it). This particular ceiling light is brushed nickel, but would it be okay to have antique brass wall lights? Not sure if mixing metals would be an issue here. Any suggestions would be very welcome!
