First, we love the lights from Curiousa and Curiousa (above), and have used them successfully over dining spaces several times. You have to be absolutely certain of your dining table position before fixing your lighting positions, same with the downlights. Make sure the latter are adjustable to give you some leeway. Another look is to have a single hanging light over the table but cross lit with direction downlight at the same time. Gives real sparkle.

Thank you for your comments. We will be arranging the new business over the next couple of months. We will probably publish a simple website from where a brochure can be downloaded. Customers can choose which components they want in their Pendant, these can then be manufactured at the factory. Once made - a photo can be taken at the factory and sent to the customer for final approval before the item is sent to the customer. I'm afraid for custom made products, we won't be able to take them back unless faulty. From a cost perspective for custom Pendants, we are still working this out, but will be in the range of £100-£300+VAT depending on design, materials and finish. Shades will be in range of materials from Glass, Metal, Wood, Concerete, Plastic etc. If you are a designer and have a completely new shape and design that you want to have manufactured to sell in some volume (100+ pieces) - that is also possible. The factory does this for lighting designers in Europe. There will be an initial cost to design and re-tool to produce the design, but this will be your exclusive design. Obviously, your Pendants will be at wholesale rates. We will also provide LED lamps for the Pendants - standard LEDs lamps and also the atmospheric LED filament lamps. Hi Moggles i have a similar renovation starting and have the same thoughts re pendant lighting from steel. Are you actually allowed to have anything coming from the steel itself or won't this negate the fire proofing measures put in place ? So if you are allowed to hang directly from under the steel the next concern is the head height as looking at your photos it does look limited. I have actually bought 2 pendant fittings so i can decide when the time is right which is going to look best. One is a standard pendant with 3 lights dropping from it ... quite ordinary. The other is a long thin led bar that i thought could be hung with as much or little drop from the ceiling as required.
