Hi. The vegetation is really just a 'carpet' that's rolled out. This sits over a drainage mat and weedproof layer to protect the waterproof membrane below. The main consideration is the structure at the roof will get heavy when it rains as the drainage mat and vegetation retain water thus increasing the load of the roof.
