I need some advice on my flooring please. I am currently building an extension which will have an open plan kitchen on to eating and seating areas. I would like to lay different flooring in the kitchen up to the breakfast bar and I have already bought engineered wood for the rest. I was after a flush join (like the photo). Is this possible? Is there a better solution for the kitchen flooring than tiles? I understand they have different expansion rates so would this cause a problem?
