Upstand and splashback advice

We've chosen a denim blue kitchen - the colour doesn't show brilliantly in the photo. It's chalky blue. Laminate worktop and a laminate floor.

Hoping to find a not too harsh white paint for the walls. Any suggestions?

Re upstands and aplashbacks I reckon my options are:-

1) matching laminate upstands and a glass splashback behind the hob.

2) glass upstand and glass splashback behind the hob.

As for the colour of the glass I'm thinking either navy blue, but would the dark colour be a pain to clean? Or a light grey.

Any suggestions welcome :)

    Anyone? :)

A friend today suggested a wood look laminate top (Egger have some nice looking ones) with dark blue upstand and spashback. She'd also have a wood look laminate floor.

My concern is that there would be too much wood as we have an oak table and chairs.

    I'm sure this shouldn't be difficult :/
