Help me find good matching bookcases for this sofa
Hi everyone,
I'm planning my living room and I've settled on the sofas below (they are Ercol modicas). I haven't decided on the colour yet but probably light grey or white as in the picture.
I'm trying to find good bookshelf designs to match these sofas. The living room is going to be a library as well and we plan to have bookshelves covering most of the walls. They could be with cabinets below, and either builtins or standalone (we haven't decided that far yet).
Most of the bookshelf designs we see on Houzz are classic (which I like) but they don't really match these sofas in my opinion. Here's an example:
Do you agree with me that this design doesn't really match? Any good suggestions? Thanks!
P.S: Not sure if it helps but the living room is carpeted light gray.

Comments (8)I have been looking and yet to find one as the leather ones are really modern! Are you sure fabric won't work in a deep purple or slate if stain guarded? The other option is a 3 seater leathers Chesterfield and maybe a plum fabric chair. Chesterfields I personally think can either look very masculine or feminine depending on what they're paired with but ideally you'd want a slim one...See MoreHelp matching Leather Sofa
Comments (5)Hi there, Grey is definitely a shade that is getting a lot of attention at the moment, and for good reason - it's a lovely alternative to neutrals that really complements a multitude of homes. If you're worried about grey not working well across all the walls, why not try adding it in other furnishings such as a blind or a rug? Alternatively, as Karen suggests above, a red shade will really play on the warm tones of your tan chairs and create a lovely homely feel. A Roman blind is a pattern could help with this effect too. Best of luck, and looking forward to seeing it when you've done! Zoe...See MoreHelp me find a chair
Comments (3)Hi Aarrian, I think your chairs look fabulous and can see why you would want more! If they were mass produced you may have a chance of tracking down some more online, ebay etc; or if they were a custom made project, this would make it harder to track down, but probably a good place to start would be local furniture makers or custom metal fabricators. It is something we could make for you, but there are factors to consider, are you localish to us? we would need accurate dimensions and some details to match the upholstery and fabric. I hope this helps. Regards, Leigh....See More
