Comments (42)Having enough storage makes a huge difference to a kitchen - we had ours redone in 2015 & we decided on a lot of storage, with the cupboards scribed to the ceiling (no my dust at the top of the units) as well as useable long counter tops that are practical for preparing & cooking. Different colours can evoke different moods and feelings, so don’t limit yourself to one colour throughout your whole house. Dark moody tones work brilliantly in bedrooms, and have been proven to help induce better sleep. Our favourite at the moment is Dulux’s Denim Drift. Bright, fresh colours are great for kitchens, and for creating a lively happy atmosphere. I love Dulux Coral Canyon which is really uplifting. Finally, dusted blues and greens have amazing calming qualities, and are fantastic for any rooms you want to relax and unwind in. Dulux Dusted Moss is a beautiful, versatile colour that will suit most styles of property, either traditional or modern. If you are cautious about using colour, why not introduce it slowly through your accessories, or as a feature wall, as these can be easily updated and replaced. Comments (14)I can see that a tv flat against the current blue wall may prove awkward to view from the room - but extending the idea of carolins illustration, placing the tv diagonally across the corner would give you more scope. Though you might feel this generates 'dead space' in the corner I think that the sacrifice would be minor in comparison to the improved viewing angle from the room. I would put a back on the corner bridge, painted blue. I also think that blue behind all the shelving would look fine - but why not make it up and stand it in place, then decide on whether you want to paint the other wall?...See More

My blue sport from June which I refer to as my Halcyon - in sun
And another blue sport from Blue Cadet, years ago, which gets less sun; therefore, the leaves appear rounder (this plant is also mature now).

Windymess, this from early July, 2013 - one plant
This is the left side of plant, separated from the clump.
I can see why Paul thought this looked like Halcyon. I didn't know what a "sport" was at the time...having only joined the forum a mere three weeks prior.
Any further thoughts? Anyone?
