Love the reading corner. A little table and a reading lamp would be nice to complete it. What is the trunk used for? It might also make the room cosier if there was some dressing at the window. The warmth of the wallpaper does not appear to be continued elsewhere. Hope that helps !

A reading Lamp perhaps!

I think it is lovely.
I would soften it with an oversized house plant, add a lamp for reading, a table to rest a glass of wine, and a rug to sink your toes into.

Curtains, there is definitely something missing there, despite the shutters. And a footstool.

A coffee table would look great for a book corner, with small plant and a curved lamp hanging over the chair. The window looks great, lots of natural light coming into the room.
