Hello, living room help is sought.
Comments (27)I really love your room - exciting shapes. You only need one thing to kick-start your imagination. Lose the animal skin and choose one large beautiful multi coloured rug (could be very modern, ethnic, or even antique) to reflect the sofa colours and add cushions to echo the rug colours. This will bring the sofas together and unify the lost space between them. Then the rest will follow naturally; e,g, art, ornaments coffee tables lamps etc;. You might like to think about a radiator cover that stretched across the whole of that wall with a shelf on top and VERY large flat louvres across the entire width. This will make that wall appear to be wider and the full width louvres will accentuate that feel. Above, on the shelf sit lovely modern vases, glass ornaments etc; above that a large stunning piece of art. Good luck - you are lucky to have such an interesting starting point....See MoreLiving room help I have dark flooring and have this rug need help
Comments (1)Hi, Would be good if you posted up a picture of the living room? If you have dark flooring you could always try to go for a lighter colour sofa like white or ivory? Have a look on our website if there are any sofas you like? www.strazzia.com If you need any help or have a questions please let us know. Comments (3)Choosing art is a very personal thing. I have a couple of generic suggestions that would work in the space - a large mirror in a nice frame or a gallery wall with black and white photos of family and friends in random frames purchased from charity/second hand shops. An easy art project would be buying a large canvas, taping a chevron pattern on it and painting it black, white and gold (or alternative colours to suit)....See MoreLiving room help
Comments (9)I think a white wall with the brown walls will look a little odd. Just that “feature walls” are usually the bolder option not the other way round. If you have the inclination, how about painting all the walls in the same colour? That way you can choose a colour you like and you don’t have to match it with other wall colours. Colours could be anything you like that goes with your furniture. Love Minnie’s green. A colour I recently used is Dulux Goose Down, a lovely bright grey, and it’s neutral enough to go with most furniture. You could get a tv unit and place it under the tv but keep the tv on the wall. It will give you extra storage which is always welcome....See More- 9 years ago
