What colour grouting did you use for the tiles. Also what size are these tiles?

Hi Sally

Thank you for your question. I used a mid-grey coloured grout and the tiles are 100mm x 200mm white metro tiles. Hope that helps!

I am a tiler so its in my interest to persuade people to fit more tiles but I agree with the other people who are questioning why you want to do this. You can transform the room with wall paper as Kerosis suggests and if you tire of that in a few years it is easy to remedy. I always point out to people that tiles are put on the wall as a practical durable easy to clean surface and therefore it is often not necessary to put them everywhere. If you do decide to fit tiles then you should remove the paint on the walls 1st as that was only ever designed to hold itself on the walls and it doesn't matter how brilliantly your adhesive hangs onto that paint if the extra load causes the paint bond to fail then your tiles will no longer be bonded to the wall (no such problem with lightweight wallpaper :-) Terry the tiler

The tiles will be covering the areas coloured light blue on this plan (the white and dark blue will be covered with panelling). Have narrowed it down to three tiles which will fit without too much faffing/cutting: Lucy - a 15x15 tile, though not sure if I should stick with one colour or do some kind of mix with the blues and white. https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/bathroom-tiles/lucy-tiles Rhian - a 10x30 tile. I would have to apply the tiles vertically along the worktop by the sink though, as trimming 1-2cm off several 7.5 width tiles sounds like a recipe for lots of broken bits... I think it will be difficult to find something to match. I could be wrong but, from the photo, it looks like the drive was some kind of crazy paving made up from broken slabs - 2 or 3 different colours (?) which have since weathered & faded. So if you found something similar to replace them, the colour would most likely be brighter. What happened to the parts of the drive that the builder took up?
