I guess the photo isn't great in terms of giving ideas on dimensions as you can see the tv perfectly from the sofa (it's on a swivel). We have the decor sorted too with regards to art and mirrors, like I said, we only just finished fitting it so not everything is up yet....give us a chance! :) We have now got some pendant lights that look perfect so thanks for all comments but help is no longer needed xx

You could consider a suspended bar light. This way it would provide a strip of subtle light but in a very modern way. It's also a better look than the prescriptive 3 pendants. This is the only example I can find right now but there are loads of them for all sorts of prices.
