I did some drawings for company who were cladding an area for 'relaxing in' after a sauna ... it was done in a three tones of wood cladding - a bit like pallet walls but on a bigger scale - and basically they used uprights in front of the sauna wall to batten the cladding to - then finished the edges around the door - ( which was just glass - so a bit different to yours) but the end result was really cool ! If you did something like that - even if it's only with plaster board - with a sliding barn or blackboard door that would cover the sauna door it could work ? A blackboard could double up as a menu board as this is a dining room ?!

The important thing with a tv is the picture quality, not the size of it, and it has been proven that TV’s should be at eye level or just below when you are seated for maximum comfort. I personally would not have a wall mounted tv as the viewing angle hurts my neck after a while. However, if you want a huge tv on the wall then surely that’s your choice and your choice alone.
