Light colours always help to make a garden pretty so maybe try a pastel colour. I'm personally in love with a sort of light mint colour, this works really well with white (but any pastel will) cornflour is nice too for gardens as it is more of a contrast to the leaves. Growing a climber up some trellis on the wall might be an idea too, honeysuckle smells very sweet and attracts butterflies but any climber again will work. I have attached the mint colour I meant just for clarity, a word of caution would be that it can look a little clinical so to be used in moderation.

Probably be a lot of work but I think stone steps cut into the rock would look amazing! I would also plant lots of ferns and rockery type plants to make a feature of the rock face and bring it into the garden.

Your garden is a similar shape and size to mine. I got rid of my grass which had turned into a slimey mess due to the dogs! I laid sandstone paving instead, but it isn’t cheap. My first thought is removing the grass then creating beds for plants on either side with a wide path down the middle, maybe gravel with paving laid as stepping stones. Gravel is dead cheap. It could be serpentine or straight, plants will soon soften the edges. My garden is rectangular but the plants spill over and blur the edges. Is the first picture the latest one as it has plants in it? Like the arch. Then I would get some shrubs like Weigela, Cotinus, Viburnum, Hydrangeas etc as the bones, then underplant with Alchemillas, Geraniums, Hemerocallis, Campanulas, Aubretia, Erigeron etc. Then in the autumn plant some bulbs like daffodils.
