Hello, I would firstly bring that space together and frame your dining area by choosing a single colour, personally I'd carry that blue across the 3 walls, but you could take the taupe on to the blue wall instead. I would then follow Fran's advice but I'd purchase a much wider sideboard (in black) and position it below the pictures... and as she mentioned rotate your dining table so it runs parallel to the sideboard. I'd put a mirror above the sideboard, and put the pictures where you have your sideboard currently. @Sarah L so the extension we did it’s now half pitched and half flat as in pics. we are torn if we go all flat for symmetry or keep half and half. The island’s position falls below the pitched roof so the lighting would be on the pitched roof for the island. @Isla Cherry - Thank you! I am not able to picture in my head if its would look good and blend in or the half pitched roof will stand out. If it was consistent across it would have been an easy decision but we are torn if we keep half and half ( pitched and flat) or have it all flat consistently
