Design Dilemma Bathrooms Kitchens

Need help sourcing backsplash tile.

Hello,

i have fallen in love with this tile but I can’t find it anywhere. Any help sourcing it would be greatly appreciated.

I saw this pic today as well and was drawn to it. I believe it is chevron pattern tile just set differently

We're with Valduff. Shades of purple and plum can really add depth to a chic scheme like yours. Particularly with your gorgeous counter top. Grey is also a good call, as it will coordinate with your kitchen units but allow room to add coloured accessories. It can depend on the light quality in your room- we always recommend grabbing some tester opts in a range of shades. Paint your walls or A4 sheets, and see what the colours look like as the light changes throughout the day.

Tiles are one way to introduce some pops of colour in your kitchen. If you are worried about the grout discolouring, use epoxy grout which is more resilient to liquid staining. Also, if you use a coloured grout, discolouration will be less noticeable. If you choose textured tiles with rectilinear edges, grout lines are almost invisible. Using tiles can look more traditional compared to glass or stainless steel. The problem with stainless steel is keeping it looking good. Drip marks and grease are instantly noticeable. Glass is less obvious when splashed. They are both more industrial and modern looking. What about using the same material that makes up your worktop as the splashback? Most manufacturers of manmade worktops also do an 11mm thick splashback and upstand.

Hello...great units...I've just ordered similar in cream (again!). In my last house we used bespoke acrylic sheets as splash back (and behind gas range) and I never had any problems with heat. However, for your own peace of mind you might want to get bespoke strengthened glass cut to size. I painted the inside of the acrylic sheet coral (to match the facing wall and it worked very well. This time I think I will use paper (gift wrap or similar...wallpaper might be too thick) with a small repeat pattern, perhaps a retro design, and paste this to the inside of the acrylic/glass. Affix with mirror screws and seal with clear sealant to prevent steam/condensation, etc... Acrylic is cheap to replace if your design preference changes after a few years.

Are you saying the glass splashback is the wrong size because it doesn’t go all the way up to the extractor fan? If so I’d guess that they’ve installed a standard size as opposed to a purpose made size. If so l would just take that one down and get a taller one made. You could always have the splashback all the way across the wall. l don’t think it needs tiles too. You could add a tint of colour with the emulsion,

Found it at Home Depot, Joss & Main, and build.com. Though can’t find actual tile dimensions at the last site.

According to pinterest, it may be from Olympia Tiles' Colour and Dimension series: "Kim and Teri's episode features our Colour and Dimension series for the kitchen backsplash in the chevron style and in the arctic white shade." Not sure if this is true or not.

It's regular chevron tiles placed back to back instead of in the chevron pattern. the one in your pic looks like these from Modwalls 'white milk'

these are from Wayfair and called Retro Soho Chevron porcelain tiles.

Modwalls also has the chevron in some great colors.

any pre-cut chevron tiles can be used in this layout or in the standard chevron layout:
