Yes I'm chuffed with the result.

So much so, I'm considering doing these doors (photo below) as well. They are the doors to storage/wardrobe in a corner of the dining area (and remind me a bit of Sam's pantry doors...).

In case you're wondering what the lighter area is on the wall... my 'kids' (the oldest is 30!) don't let me paint over it: it's their growth chart going back some 25 years!...

Yes paint it black! it will look fab in your beautiful space. Holding myself back from saying paint that multi glazed door as well giving it a faux crittal look.

I think the doors look great, personally I wouldn't paint the cupboard door as I would want it to blend into the walls but the french door on the other hand...

Looking great ED! I agree with painting the French door black but with cupboard doors first think, colours aside, do I want them to stand out, or blend in? If you want them to shout at you from across the living room then go for the black, if you don't want to even think they are there then stay muted in line with the wall colour.

I, rightly or wrongly, have a feeling that (Off) black doors actually stand out less than white (gloss) doors.

At least with our newly painted doors that seems to be the case. The black makes them kind of appear to recede more into the background.

Ooh your double cupboard doors are what mine want to be when they grow up! And I can't wait to see the glazed door painted.
