your welcome from my experience you are always starting again with homes as styles and you change so you will have a head start. I'm always changing things with paint and reinventing rooms but over the years found that the classics especially if originals like yours will always stand the test of time and never go out of style but they dont have to look dated mix it up. if you tire of the carpet which I love think about making it into a huge rug bounded around the edge with what ever colour adorns your walls then would look stunning on a wood floor same with the sink could always be used in another room I would team it with black or even faux marble back drop oh endless fun and NOT AVAILABLE on the high street enjoy your home always

I like the colours that you've chosen, i also like the two different shades, it's nice to have a bit of contrast, go with your gut, it'll look beautiful ! If in doubt, just go and get colour cards and stick them on the walls, it's a lot easier than looking at charts and getting tester pots.

Good afternoon Sarah, If you are keeping the beige sofa this colour, I suggest making your floor similar so that the sofa does not stand out with it being the largest piece of furniture in the room. This way the room will feel larger. It is good to vary the tones or shades of the carpet versus the sofa. You can break up the beige with some black, dark grey or a fresh blue and I would consider doing this with accessories, the ceiling or something similar. These warm shades are very popular now. I’m not sure of the exact shade but Dulux Blush Pink is a paler version, or they have a new colour called Copper Blush. Here’s pictures, First is Blush Pink, second is Copper Blush.
