An example of an interesting contemporary interior design I recently shot

Countryside. The reality of a sea view for me would be the cold, grey North Sea! Not the romantic vision of turquoise I'd like, but the countryside view from my home through the seasons never disappoints, with the added bonus of mountains in the distance.

Neither my husband nor myself subscribe to 'pink and blue jobs'. We just do the stuff that's needs doing. Sometimes he irons and I cut the grass, sometimes I clean the bathroom while he does DIY. He can't cook so I do because I enjoy it, he sorts the technology in our house because he's an IT nerd and enjoys doing that. Last week he mentioned to a shocked colleague that after painting the kitchen I'd assembled an outdoor pool so we could float around in it when he got home from work. In our house there are no to do lists, no assumptions or expectation and most definitely no taking for granted. We both just get the stuff done.
