Nothing specific, but I think that they should compliment, but I’d probably avoid matching or true co-ordination.. that way if you get bored of 1 or the other then it’ll be easier to change rather than changing all of them.

(But then I’m someone who has mainly spots, and only pendants in a few rooms!)

Pooky have some nice lights. What metal are you having for handles, tap etc? What's the ceiling height? Do the wall lights need to be IP rated (are they over the sink?). I know it's a shaker kitchen but did you have a style in mind? Whats the shape and size of the dining table? I would have the lights complement in some way be it shape, material or style. Sorry lots of questions!

What's the ceiling height? 2.75 over island, sloping to 2.1m at the sliding doors. Dining table will be under the sloping ceiling.

Do the wall lights need to be IP rated (are they over the sink?). They will be approx 2.2m high up the wall, but yes, one will be near/above sink. I will have to check out this IP rated as I dont know what that means|!|

I know it's a shaker kitchen but did you have a style in mind? Dark grey shaker, very light worktops, wood floor, style..... see pic below which that gives idea of all the colours etc.

Whats the shape and size of the dining table? Length about 1.5m, we will be buying a new table to replace old one. It will be extendable. Likely to be rectangular (or slightly oval ends)

Funny how the pic I put up there has no pendants and loads of spotlights! We are having no spots! Just the colours/style units etc that will be similar to ours, velux/doors too, and I love plants and have loads too!

I was thinking that Ellie, and also how those people must use the cook books either purely as decoration, or need a stool a lot!! Lol

We have a shaker-ish kitchen and have Original BTC wall lights and pendant, not matching exactly but same materials and vibe. Plus recessed spots and undercabinet lighting.

Holloways of Ludlow have a huge range of styles and brands and budgets so are a good place to look to get an idea of what you like.

Hi Ellie. Right ignore the IP rating, apparently a requirement for bathrooms only, I thought the same would be sensible in some areas in the kitchen but apparently not!

if you like the anglepoise I'd probably put some mid century style pendants with them. I would personally go for glass to emit as much light as possible If you're not having any downlights and a sputnik style over the table which will disperse light over the length of the table. It also doesn't visually fill the space too much which may be good with the drop in ceiling height?

Do you have any cabinet handles at all btw? I don't know how you feel about having the light hung low over the table (typically a min of 76cm above the table). I've added a pic of the black version of the brass one as it's hung even lower the 76cm. If you don't like this idea there are a number of semi-flush ones which would work.

I've also added the last pic as I guess layout is similar. Sadly the wall lights are no longer sold where they but will persist in trying to find similar if you like this look!

They do a pendant in the same style, too, or simply a pendant fitting. Lovely people to deal with as well.
They have other equally beautiful lights, however these are such a bargain!

You’re right Minnie! They don’t show up on the site - unless you know they’re there - weird! Cos I’d already bought them I knew to google Rowen and Wren/Fowey but otherwise no chance. They do say they’re still in stock too...I’d like some more but nowhere to put them!

Looking on the site again, I can see why I skipped over them as the main photo doesn't do them any justice at all! They are lovely and an absolute bargain, I can see why you'd want more! The pendant would also be good for emitting light :)
