A possible downside of benches is the uneven sides of the table, which may make it awkward to position them for comfortable seating/eating; although you could get benches made with wavy edges to match the table. Tolix chairs and stools would go with it, or even perspex ghost chairs but may be a bit of an obvious choice

I'm not sure about either to be honest, sorry. I appreciate the ideas though! I think where i'm struggling is i quite like something gold/marble, i'm just aware I have gone for quite statement pieces so I want everything to effortlessly flow together and look well-styled but not gaudy/mish-mashed. I suppose I know how i want it to feel i.e. luxurious, elegant and feminine rather than how i want it to look, if that makes sense? The kitchen looks lovely. I like the table and it works well with the lights and I'd put the eames chairs with it or a mix of chairs (an old church chair is good for keeping kids colouring in stuff in but not sure of their age! ) What wood were you looking at? However having said that, your table is butt against the bar and the legs on this table are wider than the top so if you went for this one I think you'd need to go for a short table. As kikiamack said pedestal tables are good although hard to find a rectangular one (!) or as colourhappy said an old farmhouse one would work. Would an extending table also be an option? How many do you need to seat on a regular basis? Are the lights centred over the bench?
