That would weigh quite abit for a shelf so its support would, as you know have to be quite substantial. Is it situated between two walls by any chance. You could probably span a bar (stainless steel) maybe or something equally as decorative, from wall to wall (like a lintel in effect). Other than that, i guess a standard (gallows bracket) design fixed directly to the wall would have to be the answer ? Good luck =]

Hi Tani. I love the glass and metal rimmed tables that are around at the moment. The colour would look great in your room however am undecided until I see a pic due to the tubed frame which may look old fashioned but may well be proved wrong by the pic! have you gone off of painting yours?

Yes, I was wondering if silicone alone would support the weight of the shelf.... From what I’ve read when you drill in screw anchors the holes breech the waterproof membrane which isn’t ideal. As we haven’t tiled the niche yet the shelf could be imbedded into the mortar during tiling. But because it will be tricky to cut the back mosaic tiles I’m wondering if imbedding in just the side tiles will be enough to hold the weight of the glass? Who knew it could be so tricky...

The tv in our spare room is mounted on a bracket on the wall where the tv can be tilted whichever way you wish. We got it from Argos and our electrician fitted it whilst he was re-wiring the house, so very tidy. Would buying a smaller tv be an option as your tv is a bit too big for the space?
