redesign dining table and chairs

Any ideas for redesigning our dining table and chairs? Will be stripping it back, it is a slightly lighter wood underneath the varnish, maybe two shades darker than the floor. The tabletop will be kept as wood, just sanded and oiled (but will be the natural colour as outlined above) Last photo gives an idea of what's under the varnish. What should I do with the table legs/ chairs/ seat covers?
