I think the 'Soft Truffle' would look nice with the crisp white skirting. Or if you wanted to blend the stairs because they are visible from the living area you could go for an Oyster colour on the stairs and landing only.

I would like the carpet to blend the stairs with the living room floor since they both join on to each other and are visible together but it also needs to suit the existing carpets in the bedrooms. Do you think Oyster would suit the bedroom carpets or would the contrast of Soft Truffle be better?

'Soft Truffle' will not "blend" with the living room flooring, however, it could be a nice contrast if your colour palette in your living area of your home has similar tones to that of the 'Soft Truffle' colour. It then of course blends quite nicely with the carpet you already have in the bedrooms etc.

The bedroom carpets look grey, is that right? I only ask as sometimes computer screens can distort colour. If so then maybe a grey patterned carpet with a subtle tweed effect go well. Something like this, and you can see how nicely it goes with the wooden floor in the first pic.

Hi Sonia, no actually the bedroom carpets are more of a warm taupe colour. They must just look grey on different screens! I’ve attached a couple of links after the pics for each carpet which might show a more accurate colour likeness. Edbury, below are pics of the sofa and rug in the living room, so I’m leaning more towards the Soft Truffle I think. What do you both think?
