would you add a Tv on Wall

Hey there,
We have been thinking about putting our tv on the wall and building it into some type of frame. But the wall is quite small and our sofas are quite close. Our layout isn’t ideal but we can’t really have it any other way. Would the TV look ok in this space (where the nest of tables are).

can you do a quick sketch showing measurements and doors/windows - it might be that the TV can go on the wall above the red sofa and you could have a pair of sofas facing each other, perpendicular to where the sofa is now. But impossible to tell with just one photo and no measurements

Basically this! All measurements are a pretty rough guide. We have new sofas coming in a few weeks which are grey but the same size pretty much as what they are now.

I think your layout is perfect to the size of your space. Don't move any furniture and leave as it was on Pic #1 at the very start. Back to question about colour, I have several examples for you how to create combination of cushions. Amount is up to your taste. But I will recommend minimum 5 or 7 but you can go for more 9 or 11. It depends on how many cushions you like when you seat on sofa. You can get several shades and even with similar pattern Go for several colours but of the same fabric (By the way, this photo, shows you great example of green and flowers arrangement around the place. Get as an idea)) The easiest option here. Simply go to fabric store, pic velvet or other plain fabric you like, choose several colour tone or close shades of the same fabric to match. Similar fabric, easy to match. Or go for brighter colour to complement your main colours scheme.

We have a unit, which completely envelops the whole TV, which means you can make it an attractive feature by putting nice objet d'art on and around it. You can't see any cables either!

A white or grey corner unit would look great. Unfortunately a lot of the ones available on the high street are quite slim and I think wider would be better for you. You may consider having one built.

OK so I think (without knowing the measurements of the sofas and I struggle to imagine sizes in feet and inches!), you could put the TV on the wall marked 7ft 7 inches, position one sofa along the 12ft wall, and the smaller one where it already is? So you'd have two sofas facing each other which is nice for conversation, and the TV at the side. Or go with what you're suggesting, but as part of a bigger shelving unit so the TV sort of disappears into it, like these pics?

We had a unit built in our snug/tv room. It not a large room and so wanted it to look seamless and widen the space. It was very simple for our carpenter to build and it sits on the skirting boards so as to see the floor underneath. The square doors hide a multitude of clutter and tv wires etc.

Thank you for your reply! So the big sofa in the alcove is quite tight in the space it measures 217cm long and the alcove space is about 230cm.
The 2 seater is 185cm in length, and the width of the room where the smaller sofa currently is and leaves a gap to the wall of about 120cm.
I love the idea of the built in tv and units but do you think it would look alright on the wall if we left the sofas where they are?
