Yes or No - this corner sofa in my living room?
Comments (15)Lovely sofa but definitely wouldn't recommend to buy corner sofa in the room like yours. If you want to have something comfortable for your feet, get foot stool and move it closer to sofa when you need it. But on daily basis corner sofa will block free flow within a room, especially when you enter the room, it will not look right and in time will not feel right....See MoreThe unusual case of the sofa that’s TOO SMALL!
Comments (17)Hi, I don’t think it’s too small either! If you reposition your rug so it’s slightly under all the legs of the sofa (not just the chaise part) and put a coffee table on it you’ll probably find it has more focus and purpose. A larger rug would be good, but I think this will work if your budget doesn’t stretch.. also move your dining table further away from the walls so it isn’t tucked away in the corner. Other things like a nice throw over the arm of the sofa, low hung prints on the wall behind and plants will also help. Also, is that a bar trolley next to the dining table?? If so, get it stocked up so it’s more of a social area x...See MoreHow to make a large sofa with high arms , look smaller
Comments (4)Would love to see a picture of the sofa and it's location - but without seeing it , here are a couple ideas: if you want it to appear smaller I think playing around with the side tables/lamps and art work (or maybe window treatments) behind the sofa will help. Since you can not change the size of your sofa, it's all about getting the proportions of everything around the sofa just right. And I agree, a throw and some large cushions will help too....See MoreAre kitchen dimensions too large?
Comments (14)Ah, @Daisy England, I too am a fan of L-shaped corners - but not in the 900x900 variant, which I find far too awkward to access, as the opening is only 4520ish diagonally. But my main kitchen provider does truly wonderful options in 1030x1030 (2x 400 doors, 570w diagonal) and a whopping 1080x1080 (2x 450 doors, diagonal opening of 650 ish). They are a really great & inexpensive way to kit out a corner and keep everything accessible. Or for compact kitchens my German manufacturer does a really great 800x800 L-shaped carousel unit - great for tight spaces! Caldicot Kitchens...See More- 4 years ago
