Help with identifying flooring type.

I’m looking to get this type of flooring laid throughout the ground floor. I love that the flooring in the attached image is laid in two style - parquet and straight - creating the illusion of a seamless floor. Would be grateful for any details/ideas where I could get this type of flooring, what it is called etc. Thanks in advance 👍🏼

I have found flooring that looks identical so if it is the same then it is Herringbone Engineered European Select Oak Flooring i found it on a site called uk flooring direct

@queenofsuccess - I'm getting a better picture now, so we are looking for something that would keep the design in the contemporary brackets, but with a good dollop of homely warmth right? How about if you had the cream tiles around the kitchen area only, so from the white cabinets to the island, then from the brown ladder units to the island too and around it, so that the stools are on tiles. Sort of like a pavement, that would clearly separate the clean kitchen area from a nice hardwood floor in the rest of the room? In this case I would choose the colour of the wooden floor to contrast with white kitchen and cream tiles, but also to work with the walnut ladder units. I know you said your husband would like something light and I can totally understand him there. Light colours would definitely make the room brighter. When it comes to warmth I would suggest a nice oak panel, something along the lines of this: It is quite a challenge to make your idea work flawlessly. We have white kitchen units with near white worktops, part of the floor in cream tiles, walnut kitchen units and you want a fairly light hardwood floor to bring warmth into the room. I think that the only way to solve it well, would be if you could provide as much information on the final decor you want to achieve, the size of the room, natural light sources (i.e. windows, doors etc.), so we can try to find a best fit that will blend in with everything and work for you. Thanks so much Angie - what a help you’ve been! I’m so happy I have a name to research now You’re a dear for taking the time to look those up for me. Can I ask, your Money Plant, is it growing the way mine is? I was reading an article that had a photograph. It looked similar to my Money Plant but didn’t actually have a label. It stated that if the plant looked the way my Money Plant did, it was under nourished and stretching to reach the light. It may not have been a Money Plant in the article in the first instance but it made me feel sad that one of my plants may be feeling neglected. Also, are the extra sprouts on the Money Plant removable or is it usually to leave them there. What book would you recommend for a beginner looking to identify my plants? It sounds as if you’ve got a good knowledge of these things! How lovely your plant grew from a little snippet - it’s always so gorgeous to see them grow from something so small. Thank you, Printesa and T Grey, I didn’t see your messages until now. It’s been 2 months since we bought it and I am still not over the shock of being so lucky to wake up and see that view every day. We’ve been busy, very busy actually, trying to find tradesmen to sort out some things. Firstly, we discovered 5 wasps nests and (unfortunately but necessary) had them destroyed by this very chatty guy. Then we noticed some gutters were blocked and had another chatty chap around to clean them. Then came the chimney sweeper, the guy who is going to sand&varnish the floors, the painter-decorator, electrician, and so on. Plus we ‘inherited’ a gardener (thank the gods!) I was having nightmares thinking about maintaining all that garden on my own. Also, our architect friend agreed to take on the barn renovation and already submitted a pre-application plan to the council. So everything is on track; however I am ‘not allowed’ (says Andrew) to buy any furniture until the interior renovations are done, I had to restrict myself at getting tableware and bedding and towels (John Lewis had wonderful stuff on sale last month). I’ll probably start pestering this forum soon! I’m rubbish at choosing blinds and curtains and the likes, plus I am unclear about how to furnish a couple of rooms. What colour and type of flooring does everyone suggest ?

Can I suggest you consider either a "glued down" floor from Karndean, or alternatively either their Palioclick or Korlok products, which are click lock flooring designed specifically for "wet" areas such as kitchens & bathrooms, and are extremely hard wearing? You can choose whether to lay before or after installing the kitchen itself, and there are a wonderful range of both tile and woodgrain options. A sample image of a white kitchen with a Korlok floor that was narrow and with limited light - I don't have an equivalent with a similar worktop to yours, but trust me - it would look wonderful!

The planks are rectangular so you can lay them straight or herringbone or some other style.
Parquet is created with smaller size planks and is often dearer than standard planks, so you wouldn’t usually for example, use these and then also lay them straight.

Pictures shown can be achieved with wood or LVT.

Polyflor, Karndean and Amtico but there are plenty more to choose from.
